David Alaba May Not Head To Real Madrid Or Chelsea If This Report Holds Water
Top clubs in Europe are already lining up for the service of soon-to-be free agent, David Alaba. It's no longer news that the defender rejected the contract extension offer made by his club (Bayern Munich), he has rather chosen to try something new else where. Though his destination is yet unknown, but sports pundits believe clubs like Real Madrid, Manchester city, Manchester United and Chelsea have all indicated interest for his service. Former European Champions, Real Madrid appears to be the most serious bidder as reported on various football blog's, the deal may see the light of the day if Florentino Pérez's decides to flash the cash and match his wage bill as well. Having won nine Bundesliga titles and two Champions League in a space of twelve years with Bayern Munich, No one will expect Madrid not to cough out reasonable amount of money that will lure the world-class defender to Real. Interestingly, reports have it that David Alaba is aiming to join a big club that allow him play as a defensive midfielder. It's obvious that he interchanges in between center back or left full back at Bayern, but he has recently lamented that he wants to start playing as defensive midfielder for his new club. Perhaps that role may appear to be his best position in the field of play, though he never got the chance to showcase such midfield abilities at Bayern. By and large, will Real Madrid Or Chelsea be willing to sign him as a defensive midfielder having known him as a center or left full back at Bayern? However, price tag or weekly wages may not be the bone of contention regarding his transfer, but the role he prefers to play in his aspiring club may hinder his transfer deal to either Real Madrid Or Chelsea FC.
